Basics of coding helps prepare kids for one of our Python classes by teaching fundamental concepts with a series of games and activities, before implementing these concepts in their own game. The course consists of 8 weeks of activities and games and 8 weeks of coding their own game with block coding, allowing each child to spend more time learning fundamental coding concepts than in one of our Python courses.

Activities will focus on teaching:

• Cartesian grid
• If statements
• Collions
• Variables
• Loops
• Classes, objects, sprites
• General Sytax

Afterward, students will use block coding to code their own game
